The Liverpool legend took part in a head-to-head challenge where the 'winner stays on'. And consistently throughout the game, the ex-England international chose former Reds striker Luis Suarez ahead of Manchester City's Erling Haaland, Liverpool's Salah, Bayern Munich's Kane, Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski, and more. The only player Gerrard chose over the Uruguayan was Real Madrid icon Karim Benzema.

Gerrard was one of the greatest midfielders of his generation and played against some world-class players throughout his distinguished career. And the fact that he rates Suarez, who played at Liverpool between 2011-14, so highly speaks volumes about the Inter Miami forward's quality.

While former Rangers and Aston Villa boss Gerrard looks to get back into management, ex-Barcelona and Atletico Madrid star Suarez, 38, is currently playing for Inter Miami at the Club World Cup in the United States.
