WHAT HAPPENED?
A goal from USMNT midfielder Brenden Aaronson helped Leeds United earned their first three points of the 2024-25 English Championship campaign Friday, defeating Sheffield Wednesday 2-0.
The American opened the scoring for The Whites 24 minutes into the match and saw it doubled by winger Daniel James in the 48th. Through three EFL Championship matches, Leeds are now undefeated with five points.
Summer transfer departures of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter from The Whites have opened up spots in the starting XI, and the American is doing his part in showing why he deserves a nod so far this campaign.
DID YOU KNOW?
Aaronson has already doubled his goal tally for Leeds in the 2024-25 season. Prior to the start of the current campaign, he only had one Premier League goal to his name for the club.
