Tom Brady & Wayne Rooney plotting Wrexham transfer raid that would see Birmingham leave Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney frustrated

The Dragons midfielder has continued to catch the eye in 2023-24 after helping to fire his current employers to promotion back into the Football League last season. Lee has hit 10 goals and contributed two assists through 16 appearances this term – with those efforts seeing him outperform the likes of five-goal striker Paul Mullin.

According to The Sun, Lee is now registering on the recruitment radar at St Andrew’s. Birmingham are in the process of drawing up plans for the January window, with a tough start to life in the Blues’ managerial hot-seat leaving new boss Rooney in need of new year additions.

Birmingham have slipped to 15th in the Championship table, but they can expect to face a fight if efforts are made to lure ex-West Ham and Barnsley midfielder Lee away from SToK Racecourse. Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are not in the business of parting with prized assets in North Wales.

Wrexham sit third in the League Two standings, as they target back-to-back promotions and Lee – who has been nominated for the October Player of the Month award in the fourth tier of English football – will have a leading role to play in efforts to bounce straight up into League One.
