Nightmare blow for Man Utd as Ayden Heaven stretchered off in agony after suffering horror injury in Leicester clash

It was another night of mixed fortunes for the Red Devils after the promising youngster had to be stretchered off against Leicester. United took the lead early in the game through Rasmus Hojlund, but Ruben Amorim had to shuffle the pack when the 18-year-old was carried away after rolling his ankle, having been taken out by Foxes forward Patson Daka. Alejandro Garnacho went on to score United's second goal after Toby Collyer had come on for Heaven.

Heaven has proved to be a useful addition at the back for Amorim's side after his January move from Arsenal. After impressing in the Europa League in midweek, he was rightfully handed his opportunity in the English top flight but now joins the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire on the treatment table.

Heaven had completed 32 of his 35 passes before coming off at Leicester, as well as winning five out of his six ground duels and making six defensive actions.

It is too early to tell how long Man Utd will have to go without their latest young talent. The Red Devils will await news on the injury as the first international break of 2025 comes into effect, with the Red Devils not due back in action again until April 1 - when they take in a trip to Nottingham Forest.
