    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Atalanta have maintained that their intention is to extend Ederson’s contract, which runs until 2027, with ongoing talks between the club and his agent. However, the Brazilian midfielder seems intrigued by the growing interest from other top clubs, particularly in the Premier League.

United boss Ruben Amorim in particular seems impressed by the player's all-round game and top-drawer displays against some big sides in the Champions League as well as the Serie A's best teams. The Portuguese manager believes that the 25-year-old could bolster his midfield, as he plans a major summer overhaul ahead of his first pre-season with the Red Devils.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

United will have to lock horns in a potential transfer battle with Juventus, who are also just as eager to sign Ederson. The Bianconeri's sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is reportedly making efforts to secure a move for the Atalanta man, even meeting with the player's representatives in January.
