Man City want Paul Pogba! Pep Guardiola's side contact former Man Utd and Juventus midfielder about shock January transfer

Pogba is all set to return to action in 2025 when his 18-month ban is lifted in March. The Frenchman is currently a free agent after Juventus terminated his contract. Amid speculation over the midfielder's next destination, the Independent reports that reigning English champions Manchester City are reportedly plotting a shock transfer move.

The Cityzens, who have endured a nightmare campaign in the 2024/25 season, are looking to bolster their squad. Ballon d'Or winning midfielder Rodri is currently sidelined after rupturing his ACL earlier this season which means City may look for midfielders who can replace talismanic Spaniard. City have denied reports they are interested in Pogba.

The report further adds that Pogba might be reluctant to move back to the Premier League especially to Manchester City due to his past experience with the Cityzens' rivals Manchester United.

The 31-year-old World Cup-winning player is yet to disclose his next club. The France international has been closely linked with a move back to his homeland as he could reunite with former United teammate Mason Greenwood at Marseille.
