    WHAT HAPPENED?

Forest were handed a four-point deduction by the Premier League on Monday after being found to have breached the league's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). City, meanwhile, are currently under investigation for 115 alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations over the course of nine seasons. That Forest, alongside Everton, were punished swiftly but City remain untouchable has led to widespread criticism across English football - with Dominos the latest to add fuel to that fire.

  • WHAT DOMINOS SAID

The famous pizza chain wrote on X: "Unlike Premier League points deductions, we do deliver to the Etihad."

That jibe was naturally well received by rival fans, with @UthmanOladejo stating "Who’s the admin behind this page, man only drops bangers" and @LFCGeezy writing "Admin needs that RAISE".

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Of course, the charges to Everton and Forest compared to City are different, both in nature and in length. City have been tipped by some experts to face a punishment "worse than relegation" should they be found guilty, with the threat of titles won during the Sheikh Mansour era being stripped completely.

That said, the swiftness and ferocity with which Forest and Everton have been penalised - with the Toffees initially hit with a 10-point deduction before being reduced to six on appeal - has been criticised by many. Forest released a fiery statement following Monday's ruling, pointing towards institutional issues within the top flight and warning aspirant Premier League clubs.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Following their deduction, Forest now face the very serious threat of Premier League relegation. They have dropped to 18th and now sit one point shy of safety. Everton, meanwhile, are 16th but are just four point from the drop, but do boast a game in hand over their rivals.

WHAT NEXT FOR CITY & FOREST?

It is thought that City's FFP case will not even start until next year at the earliest, with some estimations suggesting it may take years to reach a conclusion. Forest, on the other hand, have two weeks to appeal the decision, which they are expected to lodge.
