Juventus' new manager to be confirmed! Thiago Motta poised to sign three-year contract with Serie A giants following Bologna exit

The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star is currently in Portugal and is expected to put pen to paper on Juventus' deal on Tuesday that will run until June 2027, according to Fabrizio Romano. Once the formalities are completed, the Serie A giants will officially announce the Italian as their new boss.

Motta was instrumental in guiding Bologna to a fifth-place finish in Serie A this season which secured them a berth in the Champions League. However, the 41-year-old refused to extend his stay at the club beyond the 2023/24 campaign.

The Bianconeri, who finished third in the Italian league, parted ways with Massimiliano Allegri right after they won the Coppa Italia title following his misbehaviour which included a rant at match officials and alleged manhandling of the chief editor of Tuttosport.

The Serie A giants will look to rebuild their squad in the upcoming summer window and are expected to undergo significant changes, adopting a playing style that aligns with Motta’s philosophy of possession and advanced pressing.
