VIDEO: Falcao denied wonderful bicycle kick goal

Since returning to Monaco, Falcao has finally re-discovered the kind of form that earned him a reputation as one of the most fearsome finishers in the world.

After forging a formidable goal-scoring record in Portugal and Spain with Porto and Atletico Madrid, respectively, the Colombia international spent two disappointing seasons in the Premier League with Manchester United and Chelsea, where he struggled to make an impact.

However, his spell in England has proved to be a blip and he has flourished in the Principality this term, inspiring Leonardo Jardim's side to the top of Ligue 1 ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, as well as hitting six goals in the Champions League in as many games.

Despite his rich vein of form, the 31-year-old was held scoreless against Guingamp on Saturday and not even a wonderful bicycle kick attempt could get past the Brittany outfit's stout resistance.

Luckily for Falcao, Monaco managed to win in the end, with a goal from Kamil Glik and Fabinho's outrageous penalty securing all three points.
