Ulloa admits frustration as he ponders Leicester future

Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa has admitted he remains frustrated with a lack of playing time with the Premier League champions.

The Argentine has fallen down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium this season, and was linked with a move away in January.

The former Brighton forward even went as far to tweet that he would never play for the club again should Claudio Ranieri remain in charge after the Italian rejected a bid from Swansea City.

Ulloa has since deleted the social media message and has been brought back into the fold by new boss Craig Shakespeare.

He made his first appearance since January 2 against Everton earlier this month before starting against Crystal Palace the following week.

The 30-year-old was then called upon to step off the bench at half-time against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, with his performance almost inspiring one of the Champions League's most memorable comebacks.

Despite being back in the fold, Ulloa remains unsure of where his future lies as he looks to earn more starts rather than substitute appearances.

"I don't think about that now. We have four or five games and we have to finish the better performances. After that we will think about my situation," Ulloa said when asked about his future plans.

"Always I am frustrated because I want to play. It is difficult for the player because I want to play.

"Normally you want the option to play. But I am happy in the club, they have always given me good things and supported me. But I want to play. I will see at the end of the season what happens."

Ulloa has one year remaining on his current deal at the King Power Stadium, and admits Shakespeare has altered the dynamic of the squad following Ranieri's exit.

"I say to him [Shakespeare] I am training well, if I have the opportunity I try to give my best. I say just this.

"He understands me and I understand what he wants from me. After that I am training hard to have an opportunity to play.

"It has been different since Shakey got hold of the team. Afterwards it was a good reaction from the group and it changed the dynamic.

"We changed the game against Sevilla and after that, we won some games in the Premier League. We changed."
