Ulinzi Stars head coach Benjamin Nyangweso is cautiously happy for beating Kariobangi Sharks in their first league match played on Saturday.

Sprouting winger Samuel Onyango scored the lone goal to hand the Soldiers all the points but Nyangweso says ‘it was not the best of matches’.

“It was not the best of matches but the most important thing is to win.

 “It was a bit tough because we stayed for two weeks after we played the confederations cup match and we took time to gather momentum. But it was important for us to win the first match because it gives us momentum to get into the season,” he told the club’s official website.

Ulinzi Stars are meeting AFC Leopards at Machakos County Stadium on Wednesday for their second match of the season.
