Sofapaka duo ruled out of weekend match

Kenyan Premier League title chasers, Sofapaka will be without midfielder Bernard Mang’oli and defender Humphrey Okoti when they take on host Bandari on Saturday.

Batoto Ba Mungu will rely heavily on the service of marauding Ugandan striker and KPL Golden Boot candidate, Umaru Kasumba when they visit Mbaraki Sports Complex.

The Ugandan has taken charge of the KPL top scorers seat with 11 goals despite joining the league halfway through last June.

Okoti and former AFC Leopards midfielder, Mang'oli have been ruled out of the weekend trip to the Coast with various injuries even as Sam Simbwa continues to chase Gor Mahia shadow at the top of the league.

Sofapaka are second on the log with 45 points, same as third-placed Kakamega Homeboyz who are snapping behind them with the same number of points, though they have inferior goal difference.

Bandari who exercised the ‘demons’ at the Mbaraki Complex a few days ago, will rely on Cosmas Lewis for goals which have been hard to come by in the last couple of games.

Lewis is yet to shake the net for the Docker in the last two games.  Paul Nkata side are a distant 11th on 32 points.
