Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret has already earned the respect of legendary striker Andries Sebola, who says the team now plays with purpose especially in attack.

According to Sebola, Jonevret's style of play is similar to that of former Bucs coach Ruud Krool.

“I think he is more like Krol the way I have seen his tactics and the way he structures the team,” Sebola told Goal.

“You can see the way the team played the last three games; there is purpose, pace, attack-mindedness from the players. The players are now going forward whenever they have the ball,” Sebola said.

Given Jonevret’s first three matches, he appears to have already cracked the whip with top-scorer Tendai Ndoro playing second fiddle to Thamsanqa Gabuza, and Sebola is fully behind the Swede's decision to give the latter another chance.

“I think with Gabuza it was long overdue. The man should have been given a chance a long time ago, and with Dove Wome coming in, he is stamping his authority."

“The past few games he has already scored three goals and you can see that there is competition now for Ndoro to start working hard on his game so that he can get back to his best,” Sebola said.

Furthermore, Sebola has urged Jonevret to give Thabiso Kutumela a fair chance to prove himself.

“There is this other boy I am hoping Kjell will give him a chance... Kutumela. He must be given a chance because the boy can play the same way Dove Wome is playing,” Sebola concluded.
