The LA Galaxy have signed midfielder Sebastian Lletget to a contract extension, the club announced Wednesday.
Lletget has recorded nine goals and 10 assists over 55 MLS appearances (44 starts) since joining the Galaxy from West Ham in May 2015. He also scored four goals during the club's run to the 2016 U.S. Open Cup semifinals.
Primarily used as a winger early on with the Galaxy, Lletget shifted to central midfield in the second half of the 2016 campaign.
The 24-year-old earned his first U.S. national team call-up this month, having previously represented his country at the Under-17, U-20 and U-23 levels.
Details of the contract extension were not disclosed.
