Marcos Rojo scored his first Premier League goal for Manchester United against Bournemouth, having had a wait of 54 games before netting for the Old Trafford side.
The Argentina international arrived at the Red Devils from Sporting CP for a fee of £17 million in the summer of 2014, having scored seven times in 61 outings for the Portuguese giants. However, it has taken him two-and-a-half years for him to find the net in the league for United.
This astonishing wait is the seventh longest for United in the Premier League era, with the six players who have poorer records all also being defenders.
Centre-back Wes Brown holds the unwanted distinction of having played the most league fixtures without netting for United, only finding the net after 117 matches in a fixture against Newcastle.

Perhaps a little surprisingly, Rio Ferdinand is next on the list, having featured 95 times before scoring against Wigan.

Gary Neville (80), Jonny Evans (70), Phil Neville (66) and Mikael Silvestre (55) are the only other players to have played more times than Rojo without striking.
Nevertheless, there are some big names on that list, so the 26-year-old is not in bad company.
