Mang'oli defended for ditching AFC Leopards for Sofapaka

Bernard Mang'oli opted against extending his stay at AFC Leopards, and signed a two year deal with Sofapaka FC.

It is a move that has angered some of the team's fans, who have felt the former captain should have stayed at least until the end of the season and help the team shape up before making the move. But AFC Leopards junior team coach Boniface Ambani says Mang'oli should not be harshly judged.

"In football, it is all about money and playing environment and those two I believe were major factors that contributed to his move. Instead of whining about it, let us help him because at the end of the day, it is his career that is involved. Majority of the players would have done the same," Ambani told Goal.

"I do not think his move will affect the team massively, Ingwe should go for good players, who can effectively fill his gap and focus on realizing set targets."

Ingwe is currently in the twelfth position with sixteen points after fourteen matches.
