Liverpool target Zielinski to sign new contract


Piotr Zielinski is set to sign a new contract at Napoli, ruining Jurgen Klopp's planned January raid, according to the Daily and Sunday Express.

The midfielder has a £60 million (€68m/$77m) release clause, which Liverpool planned to pay this winter to bring in another playmaker for their midfield.

Liverpool have been watching Zielinski since his days on loan at Empoli, but he looks ready to extend his time with Napoli with the doubling of his release clause the only sticking point.

Tottenham urged to land Lloris replacement


Hugo Lloris has let Tottenham down “too many times” to remain their No. 1, says Jermaine Jenas, with Mauricio Pochettino urged to sign a new goalkeeper during the January transfer window.

The former Spurs star told the Daily Mail: "There is no one to displace Lloris and Spurs need to look at that now."
