Everton deny Zaha bid
Rumours on Monday evening suggested that Toffees had raised the stake in their quest to land the sought-after Ivorian international, but a club statement was adamant that was not the case.
The Daily Telegraph's Chris Bascombe tweeted the statement, which concluded with the acknowledgment that the last rejected bid "was the end of the matter."

Mustafi is valued at €30 million (£27.35m) by the Premier League club and the Ligue 1 club will now decide whether to make a formal bid or not.

Sturridge holding out on Trabzonspor offer
Free agent Daniel Sturridge is holding out over a proposed move to Turkish side Trabzonspor over wage demands, according to Foot Mercato.
The former Liverpool striker has been offered a €2m-per-season wage but wants that upped to €3m, with an additional €2m signing bonus.
Sturridge scored four goals from 27 appearances across all competitions last term, although he was largely used from the bench, playing just 818 minutes in total.

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has bashed the strategy in the transfer market.
Years of big spending have not yielded results on the pitch and the ex-Everton man, hand picked by Sir Alex Ferguson as his successor believes the Red Devils have moved away from what made the dominant force in English football during Ferguson's reign.
