Barcelona forward Malcom could be offloaded to Zenit Saint Petersburg, reports Marca.

The Brazilian only joined the Spanish champions last summer in a €41million move from Bordeaux, but a lack of opportunities and Antoine Greizmann’s arrival means he is seeking an exit.

Russian club Zenit now seem the most likely destination for the 22-year-old, and Marca report that Barca want at least €40m (£36.5m) for his signature. 

Everton deny Zaha bid

Everton have denied that they have made a bid of £55million plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

Rumours on Monday evening suggested that Toffees had raised the stake in their quest to land the sought-after Ivorian international, but a club statement was adamant that was not the case.

The Daily Telegraph's Chris Bascombe tweeted the statement, which concluded with the acknowledgment that the last rejected bid "was the end of the matter."

Mustafi could be set to depart Arsenal for Monaco

Monaco have contacted Arsenal about the services of defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to L'Equipe.

Mustafi is valued at €30 million (£27.35m)  by the Premier League club and the Ligue 1 club will now decide whether to make a formal bid or not.

The German international joined Arsenal from Valencia in 2016 but has failed to live up to expecations in his time in London.

Mayoral returns to Levante on loan

Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral has returned to Levante for another season-long loan.

The 22-year-old, who helped Spain win the U21 European Championships this summer, scored five goals in 33 games for the Valencia-based club during the 2018-19 season.

It was reported that he was also in talks with Real Sociedad, but he has opted to return to Levante who will be hoping to build on their 15th-placed finish. 

Darmian in shock move to Barca?

Manchester United’s out-of-favour defender Matteo Darmian could be set for a shock move to Barcelona, according to ESPN.

The Italian, 29, only played seven times for the Premier League club last season, but with Barcelona’s search for cover at left-back proving harder than they anticipated, they may turn to Darmian.

He is considered a much cheaper option than first-choice targets Junior Firpo and Philipp Max, and his versatility means he could be signed as Jordi Alba’s understudy.

Maddison plays down Maguire's absence

Leicester midfielder James Maddison has not-so-crypitcally revealed the real reason as to why Harry Maguire missed training on Monday.

The England international is thought to be interesting Manchester United who are desperate to bolster their defence, and his ommisison from training prompted speculation that he was bound for Old Trafford.

Maddison, however, qouted a Sky Sports News tweet about Maguire's non-appearance, saying that the defender's "got the" followed by three unpleasant emojis.

Roma sign Providence from PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the sale of Ruben Providence to Roma via their official twitter account.

The 18-year-old winger joins the Serie A side permanently for an undisclosed fee.

He made six UEFA Youth League appearances last season, scoring once and assisting twice.

Everton place second Zaha bid

Everton have made a sizeable second bid to Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha, including two players alongside a £55m (€60m/$67m) fee, according to Sky Sports.

The two Toffees players in question are striker Cenk Tosun and central midfielder James McCarthy.

Everton have stepped up their pursuit of the Ivory Coast international forward since Arsenal cooled their interest following what appears to be their imminent capture of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

Sturridge holding out on Trabzonspor offer

Free agent Daniel Sturridge is holding out over a proposed move to Turkish side Trabzonspor over wage demands, according to Foot Mercato.

The former Liverpool striker has been offered a €2m-per-season wage but wants that upped to €3m, with an additional €2m signing bonus.

Sturridge scored four goals from 27 appearances across all competitions last term, although he was largely used from the bench, playing just 818 minutes in total.

Bournemouth sign Billing for £15m

Bournemouth have announced the signing of Huddersfield Town midfielder Philip Billing for a reported £15m fee on their official website.

The 23-year-old has signed a "long-term contract" with the Premier League club.

Billing is Bournemouth's third signing of the transfer window after Jack Stacey and Lloyd Kelly in an attempt to strengthen at the back.

Jiangsu reach foreign player cap as Bale deal collapses

Gareth Bale's proposed move to Jiangsu Suning is off after the Chinese Super League club reached their foreign player limit.

Croatian striker Ivan Santini joined from Anderlecht and, alongside Miranda, Alex Teixeira and Eder Martins, make up the four overseas players allowed in the club's squad.

Jiangsu do have a fifth non-Chinese player - former Liverpool defender Gabriel Paletta - but he is expected to leave the club in order to meet regulations.

Everton are hoping to secure the services of Mario Lemina and Fikayo Tomori this summer, according to Sky Sports.

The Toffees see Southampton midfielder Lemina as a replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who is on the brink of a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Any deal for Tomori would be a temporary one, similar to the move that brought Chelsea team-mate Kurt Zouma to Merseyside.

Cutrone on the cusp of £23m Wolves move

Sheffield United up McBurnie bid to £20m

The newly-promoted club saw their first bid turned down but have returned with a revised offer for the 23-year-old.

McBurnie hit 24 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions last season and will provide cover and competition for the Blades' first-choice striker Billy Sharp.

Gueye passes PSG medical

Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye is edging closer to a move to PSG after passing a medical with the French club, reports Le Parisien.

The 29-year-old Senegal international is set to sign a four-year deal with the option of an extra year and is likely to be unveiled on Tuesday morning.

PSG have agreed a fee worth in the region of £28 million ($34.2m) with Everton for the former Aston Villa midfielder.

Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba is travelling to Birmingham to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Aston Villa, according to Sky Sports.

Villa agreed a fee of around £11 million ($13.4m) for the Zimbabwe international last week.

The club have yet to agree personal terms or secure a work permit, though the club do not believe this will be a problem.

Rojo is believed to have impressed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during pre-season but the Norwegian already has six other central defenders in his squad.

That figure will increase still further should Harry Maguire arrive from Leicester and may prompt Rojo to look elsewhere for regular action if it looks like he will be well down the Old Trafford pecking order.

Trabzonspor officials flew out to Boston to meet with the England international and agree terms on a contract, with an announcement expected imminently.

Real's 7-3 friendly defeat by rivals Atletico Madrid and a serious injury suffered by Marco Asensio has prompted president Florentino Pérez to decide to keep the 28-year-old despite the wishes of Zinedine Zidane, who was willing to let the forward leave.

Juve could use Dybala to secure Lukaku deal

Leicester City's Harry Maguire did not take part in training on Monday amid ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.

The England defender has reportedly told Foxes officials he wants to leave the club before the August 8 transfer deadline but a final fee has not yet been agreed with the Red Devils.

Portugal centre half identified as back-up plan to Maguire

Manchester United had a bid for Befica centre-back Ruben Dias rejected by the Liga Nos club as they look for a back-up plan should they fail to sign Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils are apparently well set to sign the Leicester City defender, but must meet the Foxes' £80 million ($99m) valuation.

But they looked to Dias as an alternative, according to The Mirror, but had their bid knocked back as it didn't meet the player's release clause of £59m.

Parker expects Sessegnon at Fulham next year

Tottenham target Ryan Sessegnon is expected to return to Fulham by Cottagers boss Scott Parker.

The highly-regarded 19-year-old is valued at £50 million ($62m) by the Championship club, and while Spurs aren't prepared to pay that for a player in the final year of his contract, they are hopeful they can get the deal done.

Parker, however, expects the player to rehab from an injury he suffered at the U-21 Euro's and said the club will "try everything they can to keep him," speaking to West London Sport.

 

Pepe to Arsenal not a done deal

French radio station RMC (via Inside Futbol) say that Nicolas Pepe's transfer to Arsenal is not assured, as many people think.

They say Liverpool and Inter are still contenders to sign the Lille man.

The Gunners are prepared to break their transfer record to bag the Ivory Coast international, spending £72m ($89m) on him.

Reports suggest other clubs have made similar offers, but that Unai Emery's team are in pole position for his signature.
