EXCLUSIVE

Former Leicester City striker Andrej Kramaric has claimed that the Foxes will not have a season as good as their 2015-16 Premier League winning campaign.

Claudio Ranieri's side surprised everyone by going from 5000/1 outsiders to league winners in a fairytale season, picking up their first ever top-flight title.

Kramaric was their record signing back in January 2015, but did not pick up a Premier League medal as he played just two games for the Foxes in his second campaign at the club, leaving the King Power Stadium for Hoffenheim on loan.

The Croatia international made that deal permanent in May, with his new club having an unbeaten start to the season. Despite that achievement, he thinks things are different at Hoffenheim, and believes Leicester will not repeat their successes of 2015-16.

"Hoffenheim compared to my former team Leicester? There are some similarirtes, but it is different in England, Leicester was trashing everyone from start until finish, they will hardly ever repeat that season," Kramaric told Goal.

The 25-year-old feels that this season's Bundesliga is very competitive and that there are numerous clubs battling for a spot in European competition next term. Currently third in the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim are currently the only undefeated team in the top five leagues in Europe, a feat in which Kramaric takes great pride.

"It is not simple to be only undeafeted team in the top five leagues," the striker admitted.

"There are a lot of candidates for Champions League and Europa League spots: Bayern, us, [RB] Leipzig, [Borussia] Dortmund, Eintracht [Frankfurt], Hertha [Berlin] and Koln! So it will be very interesting until the end."

Kramaric is not thinking about how long they can hold off defeat, only about taking three points from the Bundesliga's surprise package RB Leipzig.

"Hoffenheim play well but we are only thinking about next match, and it is Leipzig," Kramaric continued.

"I can't say Leipzig thrilled me with their performances so far, but they play very good, have a young team, full of energy and are biggest surprise in Europe."
