Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) moved back to their favourite spot in the Super League standings - right on top of the pile, after handing Kelantan a 2-3 home defeat on Wednesday night. Playing at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bahru, the Southern Tigers produced an inspiring came from behind win, much to the disappointment of the home crowd.

The Red Warriors started like a house on fire and got themselves to a magnificent start. Striker, Mohamad Ghaddar converted a cross from Farisham Ismail to put the home side 1-0 up in the 5th minute. The Lebanese doubled his tally just 10 minute later when wriggled his way past two markers before slotting home to give Kelantan a 2-0 lead.

It didn't take long for JDT to provide a response as Safiq Rahim thundered in the first goal in the 19th minute. The midfielder showing that he still has the touch on free kicks as he puts one in from his preferred set piece routine.

It was all square in the 29th minute when Gabriel Guerra, playing as the number 9 instead of his usual roaming midfield role, converted a penalty kick to make it 2-2. The comeback was completed just a minute later when another Argentine got on the scoresheet. Gonzalo Cabrera's fifth goal of the campaign gave JDT a 3-2 lead at half time.

After the glut of goals in the first half, the second half was a much quieter affair. Kelantan's efforts to find the equaliser was not helped by Qayyum Marjoni getting sent off in the 75th minute for a professional foul on Guerra. 3-2 was the final score as JDT climbed up the table to go one point ahead of Pahang and Kedah.

JDT takes on PKNS FC in Johor Bahru in their next Super League match while Kelantan travel to Penang to face Zainal Abidin Hassan's resurgent Panthers.
