Gareth Bale welcomes baby boy to growing family

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale and his partner, Emma Rhys-Jones, have welcomed a third child to their family, a baby boy named Axel Charles.

The couple have two daughters - Alba Violet, aged five, and Nava Valentina, two - and the Real star announced on Tuesday that they have welcomed their first boy to an ever-growing family.

Bale wrote on Twitter: "We are delighted to welcome a baby boy into our family this morning. Axel Charles Bale 08.05.18."

The Wales international has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent weeks, and suggested that he would be open to a move to Bayern Munich.

His former manager, Harry Redknapp, has tipped him to return to Tottenham this summer, with reports claiming Bale is set to leave Real.

The 28-year-old scored a vital goal at the weekend as Madrid earned a 2-2 draw with Barcelona in an ill-tempered Clasico.

Despite the frequent transfer links, Bale is under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2022, with his agent having insisted that he is happy at the club and that Madrid "love" having him as part of their squad.
