Cedric Bakambu put up a stellar performance as Beijing Guoan thrashed Dalian Yifang 5-2 in Monday’s Chinese Super League encounter.
The DR Congo international opened the scoring for the hosts in the 17th minute after being picked out by Renato Augusto, and 23 minutes later, Jonathan Viera doubled the lead for the hosts.
Before the interval, an own goal from Lei Tenglong revived the visitors' hope. However, a strike from Piao Cheng immediately after the break restored Guoan's two-goal cushion.
Augusto and Bakambu completed their braces, with Cui Ming’an’ getting the Blue Hawks' second.
Bakambu who featured throughout the duration of the match has now scored 13 goals in as many games in the Chinese top flight this season.
Beijing Guoan top the Super League table after garnering 39 points from 18 games. In their next fixture, they make a trip to Beijing Fengtai to slug it out with Beijing Renhe on August 18.
