WHAT JACK MARRIOTT SAID
He told Wrexham's website: “I’m really grateful that the Club have agreed the deal. I’m really pleased to extend my stay here and it’s a really happy time for me and my family. I want to help the team and play as much as possible. I’ll do the best I can do for the team and the supporters.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Marriott has gone from a fringe player at Wrexham to someone who has taken key man Paul Mullin's spot in attack. This contract extension comes just after he has returned to the team after three months out with a broken fibula. He could be key in Wrexham's bid to secure a third-straight promotion.
