The Spanish custodian wore the club's black away shorts and socks, while the lime green home goalkeeping jersey remained the same. Fans were left baffled by Raya's bizarre kit combination as they reacted on social media.

A fan named Tom could not figure out why the Gunners goalkeeper came out in the bizarre kit combination as he wrote: "David Raya is sporting a pair of black away shorts today. Can anybody work out why?"

Raya was prepared to don the club's regular all-lime green home goalkeeping kit, but as Brentford players wore yellow socks, they were deemed too close to what Raya would have worn. As a result, Arsenal's kit man had to replace the Spaniard's shorts and socks to avoid confusion on the pitch.
