Arsenal turn in brilliant first-half performance
Gabriel scores Gunners' third on stroke of half-time
Arsenal ran riot in the first half of their Champions League fixture against Sporting CP, racing into a 3-0 lead before the interval. Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring in the opening 10 minutes before Kai Havertz added a second. And on the verge of half-time, defender Gabriel scored a third, and celebrated in cheeky fashion.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Gabriel ran off and put his hands over his face, in what appeared to be a nod towards Gyokeres' famed celebration, in which he covers his mouth with clasped hands - though in this instance, the defender put them over his eyes instead. Gyokeres was uncharacteristically quiet in the first half, despite scoring a hat-trick against Manchester City earlier this season.
DID YOU KNOW?
Gabriel has now scored three goals this season, having also found the net against both Tottenham and Manchester City in the Premier League. Last season, he scored four times, so two more strikes would see him sail past last term's tally.
