Pep Guardiola warned a fan that he risks angering his wife as the Manchester City coach gave him a new tattoo by signing his leg.

WHAT HAPPENED?
A supporter caught the manager's attention by holding up a sign that read: "Pep, sign my leg, I'll get it tattooed". Guardiola obliged by putting his autograph on the man's calf, but he assured him the idea will not go down well at home.

WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID
"Your wife is going to kill me," Guardiola said to the fan before he agreed to give his autograph.
The fan replied: "She knows I love you more than her," prompting Guardiola to jokingly back out of the agreement, saying: "Don't say that. It's a joke, right?"
"No. Not at all," he responded.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
City are currently on a pre-season tour of the United States, most recently playing out a 2-2 draw with Barcelona and then losing 4-1 in the subsequent penalty shootout. They will face Chelsea in Columbus, Ohio in the last leg of the tour.

WHAT NEXT FOR CITY?
After the pre-season tour in the USA, City will play their first competitive match of the season on August 10 when they meet Manchester United in the Community Shield. A week later they will meet Chelsea again in their first Premier League game of the 2024-25 campaign.
