  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Former Arsenal striker Henry hung up his boots in 2014 after a glittering, trophy-laden career. Since then he has done football punditry and had managerial stints at Monaco, Montreal Impact, and more recently France's Under-21s and men's Olympic football team. Despite being retired for nearly a decade, the ex-Barcelona star showed how lethal he still is in front of goal in training.

    In a video with the Olympic France squad, Henry scored a cheeky penalty and then bent in a sumptuous effort, via the post.

    The Equipe de France tweeted a video of the 46-year-old, with a caption that reads: "Il n’a rien perdu… 😍 (He hasn't lost a thing)."

    In the build-up to the 2024 Olympics, France's team have been in a rich vein of form, beating Ivory Coast, Paraguay and Dominican Republic this year. Henry - who hasn't had a great deal of success as a manager - and his players will be itching to win gold in front of their own fans in the coming weeks.
