WHAT HAPPENED?
The English forward said "mucho gracias" as he was named the Player of the Month for December by sponsors Futbol Mahou. Greenwood had a stellar performance as he scored one goal and set up another as Getafe beat Sevilla last month, while he also helped his team record a 3-3 draw against Atletico Madrid.

The clash with Sevilla was the only game in December in which Greenwood was involved in goals. He has now scored three times and set up a further four goals in La Liga since joining Getafe from Manchester United, who opted to send him out on loan after charges of sexual assault and domestic violence against him were dropped.

The 22-year-old's 2024 got off to a rough start as he was shown a red cad in his team's 2-0 loss against Rayo Vallecano. He will hope to get back on the field, continue to shine for Getafe and attract further offers during his temporary spell in Spain.
