Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez pulled off a fantastic save to deny a close-range shot from Leandro Trossard in his side's clash against Arsenal.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Despite Arsenal having a massive 14 attempts during the first-half, Villa made it to the break still level at 0-0, in large part thanks to the Argentine goalkeeper, who kept out what looked like a certain goal when Trossard smacked the ball towards goal.

Trossard blasted it from point blank range but Martinez stuck out a leg to keep the ball out. It was one of three saves the World Cup winner pulled off in the first 45 minutes to ensure his team remained in with a chance of beating the Premier League title challengers.
The goalkeeper had been the target of jeers from Arsenal fans throughout the game, having left the north London side to join Villa in 2020.
