USMNT star Weston McKennie set for major contract extension at Juventus

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that the Bianconeri are set to take the 25-year-old to the table this February and attempt to put pen to paper over a new deal. The report states that Juventus want to keep him at the same wage, but extend him until 2027 with an optional year into 2028. To entice things further, he will be given new bonuses in his contract.

McKennie has been one of the top performers for Juventus this season, crucially crafting his trade in both their midfield and in a wider wingback role. His versatility has clearly proven to be an X factor for boss Massimiliano Allegri. Over the past year, he's bounced back from being an outcast sent on loan to Leeds United to a power midfielder for the Bianconeri.

McKennie began his professional career in the Bundesliga with Schalke 04 in 2016, where he made 91 appearances, scoring five goals. Then, in 2020, he joined the Bianconeri - and the story unfolded!

The Old Lady are back in action on January 27 in a Serie A clash against Empoli. On Saturday, February 4, it's an ever-crucial Serie A title race clash against Inter Milan.
