Trent Alexander-Arnold set to miss next England camp as Real Madrid confirm full extent of injury that forced ex-Liverpool star off early in Champions League clash with Marseille

    Alexander-Arnold returned to the Madrid lineup after starting on the bench against Real Sociedad in La Liga last weekend, but his Champions League debut for the club was brutally cut short due to an injury. According to The Times, the ex-Liverpool star could spend up to six weeks on the sidelines.

    Madrid confirm extend of Alexander-Arnold's injury

    Real Madrid have confirmed the full extent of the defender's injury as their official statement read: "Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player, Trent Alexander-Arnold, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg. Further updates will follow."

  • Alexander-Arnold's England woes continue

    The England national team will regroup under Thomas Tuchel towards the end of the first week of October for their next set of 2026 World Cup qualifying matches. Alexander-Arnold, who was omitted from Tuchel's squad for the September break, was hoping for a recall to the national team, but is now unlikely to be available for selection as he works on his recovery. As it stands, his chances of making the plane for the World Cup in North America look slim.
