    Seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady invested in Birmingham City in 2021 and has been very actively working with the West Midlands side as they lead the League One standings this season and look likely to secure passage into the Championship. However, the American football legend missed Birmingham City's thrilling 3-2 FA Cup loss to Newcastle United as he travelled Stateside to attend Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadephia Eagles.

    As he talked on BBC Sport, Newcastle United legend Shearer aimed a playful jibe at Brady for missing the FA Cup tie for the Super Bowl. Shearer claimed that the five-time Super Bowl MVP missed the chance to watch Birmingham lose to "one of the biggest clubs in the world".
