    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Former Manchester United, West Ham United and Nottingham Forest star Lingard signed for FC Seoul in South Korea in February 2024 after being released by Forest the previous summer. He has scored 10 goals in 40 appearances for the Korean club and has been made captain. This latest story could reflect how relaxed and care-free he is in his new life, or it could be a cry out for help at how bad his single life has become since leaving England. Only one man really knows the answer.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Always known as a footballer with a strong social media presence, Lingard or 'JLingz' has 9 million followers on Instagram and was famous for his viral dance celebrations during his time at United, including notably when he did the 'Milly Rock' after scoring at the Emirates. His recent antics have only furthered his strong off-field presence.

    WHAT NEXT FOR LINGARD?

While it is safe to say his ChatGPT 'relationship' is unlikely to continue, you can never know for sure which stunts the AI technology will try to pull next. On the pitch, he will hope to have a few years left in his legs as he continues to perform for Seoul in the K League. Maybe one day we may see Lingard return to Europe.
