    WHAT HAPPENED?

Striker Sinclair will call time on a glittering international career on Tuesday against Australia in Vancouver. The 40-year-old has scored 190 goals for Canada, a period in which she has led her country to three Olympic medals - including gold at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games. Ahead of that momentous retirement, Wrexham co-owner and compatriot Reynolds mused whether the Portland Thorns icon would consider linking up with Wrexham Women, who sit second in Wales' top-flight women's league, the Adran Premier.

    WHAT RYAN REYNOLDS SAID

When Sinclair was being interviewed by CBC, a video from Reynolds said: "Moving on in your career to Wrexham, it's huge for the town, the club. I think that you are going to be probably the key difference maker going forward up there in North Wales."

Caught off guard a little, Sinclair played along and quipped: "For the right amount of money I could go," whilst adding she loved his Welcome to Wrexham show as well as Reynolds' gin, Aviation American Gin.

Reynolds continued: "What I really wanted to do is thank you. I wanted to thank you for inspiring me, my kids, kids all over Canada and the world, young, old, middle-aged. You're incredible and you deserve all the applause that hands could possibly give. Sending you tons of love."
