Last month, Aluko claimed that Wright 'blocked' female pundits as she blamed the Arsenal legend of 'dominating' the coverage of women's football. The former Lionesses star later apologised for her comments towards Wright after reports of a potential sack from her punditry role with ITV. However, her claims have continued to irk those in the footballing world.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Keane has now fired shots at Aluko with a quick-witted joke on Sky Sports' Stick to Football podcast as Jill Scott explained why she does not work too much in the women's side of the game. The United legend quipped: "Because of Ian?" The whole cast, including Scott, Wright, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville, were left in hysterics while Keane remained straight-faced.

After the controversy, Aluko resigned from hosting the Women's Football Awards last week. The public has been advised by Wright to "move on" from the incident. ITV has also backed him, issuing a forceful statement in favour of the Arsenal icon.
