Wrexham have been linked with a move for Manchester United defender Jonny Evans, who will leave Old Trafford after his second spell at the club following the expiry of his contract. The Northern Irishman initially signed under Erik ten Hag as a stop-gap to help on their 2023 pre-season summer tour but became a dependable reserve option and penned another one-year extension in 2024. The Sun now say Evans could be pursued due to his status as an international over 30 years of age with an expiring contract.
