The Daily Mail reports that management staff, including one member of the senior leadership team who was recently promoted, are at risk. Those employees were informed of their possible termination last week, while another group of staff were told in the past 48 hours. The Mail believes an employee they describe as a "well-respected figure across the industry who brings huge value and experience" who has served the club for decades, is one of the employees at risk of losing their job. Club sources maintain this individual's termination remains a provisional decision, and is subject to a challenge by staff representatives.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ratcliffe has been ruthless in his attempts to reduce costs at the Old Trafford club. Some 450 employees have been relieved of their duties since the billionaire took over the day-to-day running of the Red Devils last year.
Ratcliffe's tenure has been characterised by poor play on the field, and increasing unrest at cut-costing practices off of it. If another raft of redundancies comes against a failure in United's Europa League semi-final tie against Athletic Club, then things could really start to sour in the red half of Manchester.
