<p>Vardy, the wife of Leicester star Jamie, has a long-running feud with Coleen, who is married to Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney. The issue erupted amid the famous 'Wagatha Christie' trial in which <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/rebekah-vardy-ordered-pay-coleen-rooney-100k-man-utd-legend-wife-wagatha-christie/bltca2b96116b2724a9" target="_blank">Vardy sued Rooney - and lost - for defamation</a> after the latter accused her of leaking stories to the press.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Rooney is back in the limelight by <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/coleen-rooney-terrified-brave-face-wife-ex-man-utd-star-wayne-travels-im-a-celebrity-stint/blt761e12a2669541d0" target="_blank">appearing on endurance gameshow 'I'm a Celebrity' this year</a>, with the new season beginning on Sunday.</p><p>Vardy, 42, hopes to get in on the action, too, as she suggested she would relish an on-air confrontation with her 38-year-old rival on the reality television show.</p>

<p>"If people really want us to meet up before that, then ITV should get me in that jungle as a special guest," she told <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/31751295/wayne-rooney-rebekah-vardy-coleen-im-a-celebrity/" target="_blank"><em>The Sun</em></a>. "What are they scared of? Confrontation? But isn’t that what the show’s all about? It’s about viewing figures. Coleen’s legal team were very dismissive about my reality TV past. They mocked it. So for her to be doing the jungle now, it’s hypocrisy at its finest, isn’t it? I think there was always a plan for reinvention. She stayed out of the public eye for so long."</p><p>She then went on to make a surprising comment about Coleen's husband when asked if a camel testicle would be the worst thing to go in her mouth, replying: "I don't know. You have to look at her husband for that one."</p><p>Referencing the Wagatha Christie trial, she added: "The best bit to come from Wayne’s evidence was him being likened to a ‘hot potato'. I wonder if you cut him open, if he’s all cheese and beans — because he’s defo full of sh*t!"</p>

WHAT VARDY SAID

<p>It remains to be seen if Vardy will get her wish of going back into the jungle, but ITV chiefs may take her up on the offer. She appeared as a contestant in the series in 2017.</p>
