    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Four goals in 24 first-half minutes secured Wrexham a thumping win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday. A Paul Mullin hat-trick and an Elliot Lee strike downed the visitors, who had Lewis Shipley sent off late on. After the match, Red Dragons co-owner revelled in the victory and the fans' pre-match scarf show at their home ground.

    On Instagram, the Hollywood actor wrote: "What a day, what a win for @wrexham_afc! And a hat-trick for @paulmullin12. Huge thanks to @united for handing out what seemed like 22 billion scarves and making the whole day look like a tensely contested quidditch match 🧣🧣🧣 #UpTheTown"

    Alongside that he posted a video of Wrexham fans holding red and white scarves.

    The result sees Wrexham go back into third and the last League Two automatic promotion spot, leapfrogging Crewe Alexandra who lost to Morecambe on Saturday. The Welsh side are still on course to achieve back to back promotions following their National League title win last season.
