  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The official logo of the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup has paid tribute to the concept of the youth tournament, highlighting its role in projecting emerging talent.

    The tournament, set to be held in Qatar from 3-27 November 2025, will be a 48-team event. The tournament will be held annually from this year, with the enxt five editions being hosted by Qatar.

    The logo incorporates the trophy silhoutte, with a part of it representing a spotlight which is seen as a metaphor for the tournament acting as a spotlight for young talent.

    The warm colour scheme which radiate outwards symbolises reach, inclusivity and dynamism of the sport.

    Qatar’s Minister of Sports and Youth and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani said, "We are excited for the brand launch of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will form an important fixture in Qatar’s football calendar for the next five years.

    "Since the start of this decade, Qatar has delivered world-class football events on the regional, continental and global levels. Turning our attention to youth tournaments was the natural next step, stemming from our long-term investment in youth development in sport.”

    FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström said, "The tournament’s new Official Emblem emphasises the team spirit, youthful audacity, remarkable strength, and optimism which will be on full display in November 2025. The well-proven ability of Qatar as a host of FIFA events merged with the country’s exceptional infrastructure and warm hospitality will provide the perfect stage for this historic competition."

    After the FIFA U17 World Cup in November, Qatar are also set to host the 2025 Arab Cup. The Middle-East nation will be looking to cement their place as a world class host, building on the success of the 2022 World Cup.
