    14Chicago Stars ↔️

The Chicago Stars remain in last place after another winless weekend. Even with homefield advantage, the Stars fell 1-0 to Racing Louisville. Despite efforts to defend a fast paced Louisville side, Emma Sears was able to sneak past the backline to hand the Stars their third loss of the season.

The Utah Royals drop this week after a tough 3-0 loss to Kansas City Current. The Royals could not hold off a forceful attacking line, and gave up two goals in the first half.

  • Portland ThornsGetty Images

    12Portland Thorns ⬆️

The Portland Thorns rise in the standings, but only because they didn't lose. Sure, they didn't score any goals either, but they were able to secure one point against a talented North Carolina side.

The Thorns will continue to look for ways to get their attacking line going, especially as it becomes clear how much Sophia Wilson is missed up top.

    11Racing Louisville ↔️

Racing Louisville came back in Week 3 with some vengeance, securing three points with a 1-0 win over the Chicago Stars. Sears was the difference-maker, as the Louisville team continues to make strides each week.

  • Bay FCGetty Images

    10Bay FC ⬇️

Bay FC drops this week after falling on Friday to the Washington Spirit, 2-0. While Bay FC showed some strong moments, the Spirit, mainly Ashley Hatch, were quick to find holes in their backline.

  • Houston DashGetty Images

    9Houston Dash ↔️

The Houston Dash battled Gotham FC to a 0-0 draw on Friday. Both sides came out in a 4-3-3 and it was exciting to see former Gotham player Yazmeen Ryan play the nine. The Dash look better each weekend, however are going to have to find the missing piece in front of the net.

    8North Carolina Courage ⬇️

The North Carolina Courage played to a 0-0 draw against the Thorns in an even match. While Jaedyn Shaw had some strong moments for the Courage up top, the North Carolina side is still struggling to score.

    5Seattle Reign ⬇️

Seattle Reign drops this week after falling to Angel City 2-1 in Los Angeles. In the 12th minute, Ji So-Yun took a penalty for the Reign and buried it to make it 1-1. Just minutes before, the Reign struggled to do much of anything against a racing Alyssa Thompson in the final third.

  • 4Angel City ⬆️

Angel City were electric in Week 3, scoring two goals to defeat Seattle 2-1 at home. Alyssa Thompson scored a clinical finish in just the eighth minute, and rookie Riley Tiernan scored a textbook header in the 63rd minute to secure her team three points.

  • Trinity RodmanGetty Images

    3Washington Spirit ↔️

The Washington Spirit are back to their scoring ways thanks to a brace from forward Ashley Hatch. Hatch scored first in the 24th minute, then just minutes later notched her second of the night.

The Spirit also had Trinity Rodman in the starting lineup, which added some pressure to the wing and gave Bay FC a headache for most of the match.

  • Kansas City CurrentGetty Images

    2Kansas City Current ↔️

Kansas City Current absolutely took over in Week 3, scoring three goals over Utah Royals. All three were clinical, but something about Cooper's finish in the 37th minute was a thing of art. Temwa played a dangerous ball across the box and with a one-two-stop, Cooper finished it one time with her right foot.

  • Orlando PrideGetty Images

    1Orlando Pride ↔️

The Orlando Pride aren't going anywhere in the Power Rankings because they just can't stop winning.

In Week 3, the Pride defeated San Diego 2-1 with the first goal coming from Haley McCutcheon and the second from the the one-and-only Marta. She finished off another penalty kick to keep the Pride at the top of the league standings.
