Renowned animator Nick Murray Willis celebrates iconic MLS moments, from David Beckham to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, ahead of the league’s 30th season

Nick Murray Willis, known for his humorous animations of sports content, has turned his attention to Major League Soccer. The renowned animator has created a video that brings to life some of the league’s most iconic moments and personalities including David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The animation, shared across social media platforms, has quickly gained traction amongst fans and beyond ahead of the MLS’ 30th league season.

Willis has created several football-related animations that showcase his unique style and humor. His "Football Commentary Out of Context" series takes real football commentary and applies it to amusing, non-football situations, creating hilarious juxtapositions. Willis has also produced a video celebrating football legends Neymar and a few others on their birthdays, which has been a big hit with football and other fans alike. Not only that, he has ventured outside football, with similar videos on F1, WWE wrestling, and more.

The 2025 MLS regular season is set to kick off with the MLS is Back weekend on Feb. 22-23. The season will run through the summer and fall, featuring events like Rivalry Week (May 14-18) and the All-Star Game (July 23). The regular season will conclude with Decision Day on Oct. 18, 2025, marking the end of the 2025 MLS campaign before the MLS Cup playoffs start.
