'Overweight okay, but fat?' - Neymar tells 'haters' to 's*** it' and shows his belly as Al-Hilal star steps up recovery from ACL injury

As he recovers from his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear that he suffered while on national duty with Brazil in October, the Al-Hilal forward had a few photos go viral in which he looked to have put on a fair bit of weight. The 31-year-old has now clapped back at his haters via an Instagram story that he recorded after his recovery training.

In the Instagram story, the Brazilian said: "Today's training session finished. Overweight ok, but fat? I don't think so (hahaha). S*** it, haters."

It is fair to say that Neymar's career didn't exactly reach the heights that were predicted when he formed the formidable trio alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez for Barcelona. The Brazilian was considered one of the top footballers of the generation, however, a slew of unfortunate injuries has followed him ever since his move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2018.

He will be hoping to return from injury soon, though he will not be part of Brazil's squad for the 2024 Copa America. The winger's recovery will dictate when he returns to action, but playing for Al-Hilal again this season looks a tough ask.
