After being eliminated by América in the Champions Cup, Chivas visited FC Juárez in Matchday 12 of the Clausura 2025. A goal by Miguel Gómez in the 80th minute prevented Gerardo Espinoza's team from suffering another defeat, this time in Liga MX. FC Juárez took the lead with a goal from former Chivas player Ángel Zaldívar, but both sides would ultimately settle for a 1-1 draw.

With tonight's draw at FC Juárez, Chivas remain in 10th place in the Clausura 2025 after securing their second consecutive draw. The Rojiblancos occupy the last spot for teams qualifying for the Play-In, and if Pumas manage to win this Sunday against Rayados, they could send Chivas into the elimination spots.
