    According to GOAL, Rashford's representatives have been informed of the club's intention to pass his number on to the Brazilian. It has long been expected that Rashford will leave his boyhood club this summer after a falling out with manager Ruben Amorim and a loan move to Aston Villa in the second half of the 2024-25 season.

    The want-away forward is one of five first-team players who have declared their intention to leave the club. Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia, Antony and Rashford have all been excused from reporting to pre-season training so they can focus on securing a move away from Manchester.

    The 26-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs since his loan move to Villa set this long-running saga in motion. Rashford wants to play Champions League football and would prefer to ply his trade outside of England. He has been linked with Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the past few days.
