Man United set to fight Liverpool for Arne Slot's €60 million transfer target

Koopmeiners has invited attraction from multiple clubs this summer thanks to his exploits this season with Atalanta in Serie A. As such, the Red Devils have shown interest in the 26-year-old Dutchman, with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe looking to overhaul the dressing room; Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek could all depart, leaving room in midfield for Koopmeiners. As per Calciomercato, United would be ready to pay around €60 million (£51m/$64.8m).

New Liverpool boss Arne Slot has also demanded the signing of Koopmeiners this summer with the Reds boss having managed the midfielder during their time at AZ Alkmaar. Slot rates Koopmeiners' positionally flexibility and would like to have a familiar face in his ranks as he begins his debut campaign at Anfield.

Juventus are also big admirers of the Dutch midfielder and want to sign him this summer as they look to continue on their path to returning to the top of Serie A. The Bianconeri are set to bring Bologna boss Thiago Motta to Allianz Stadium, and the signing of Koopmeiners would rely on his approval.

Koopmeiners has been called up to the Netherlands squad by Ronald Koeman for the Euros in Germany and it is likely that his future will only be decided upon the conclusion of the tournament.
