Lip reader reveals Pep Guardiola lambasted Stefan Ortega for failure to deploy time-wasting tactics before Man City conceded late equaliser at Brentford
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had a strong message for goalkeeper Stefan Ortega after the club's 2-2 draw at Brentford.
However, an expert lip-reader has analysed the footage and believes Guardiola had wanted Ortega to slow the game down and waste time before Brentford made it 2-2. The Bees managed to salvage a point when Christian Norgaard grabbed an equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time.
WHAT THE LIP READER SAID
Lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman told the Daily Mailthat Guardiola instructed Ortega to "take the yellow" - indicating the goalkeeper should have prepared to pick up a booking for time-wasting.
