  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Chelsea boss Hayes pushed Arsenal manager Eidevall after his side's 1-0 win in the Conti Cup final at the weekend, with the former later criticising the Swede's behaviour on the touchline and hit out at his alleged "male aggression". Several days after Eidevall responded by saying Hayes' comments were "irresponsible", Lionesses manager Wiegman reminded coaches they need to set a good example.

    WHAT SARINA WIEGMAN SAID

When asked about the incident, Wiegman said: “In general, not just this specific situation, we are an example as coaches. We are all aware of everyone who is watching and also in society when you are being watched a lot it is good to have good behaviour. Of course it was a great final. It was very competitive so emotions go up. I wasn’t there. I’m not in that situation so I really don’t want to comment on that.”

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

The defeat for Hayes' Chelsea meant the Blues cannot win an historic quadruple in her last season as manager before she departs to take over the USWNT. However, they can still win the Women's Super League for a fifth straight time while Champions League and FA Cup trophies are still up for grabs.
