The Portland Timbers central defender started both of Peru's pre-Copa America friendlies and is expected to play a big role for the country this summer.

OK, so this actually makes 11 names on this list, but one of these two will feature. It's unknown who Jesse Marsch will roll out in net for Canada at Copa America this summer, but both St. Clair from Minnesota United and Crepeau from the Portland Timbers will be vying for the starting role.

Crepeau helped the CMNT to a 0-0 draw vs France ahead of the tournament, while St. Clair fell victim to a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Uruguay.

Regardless of who starts in goal, both are solid options, and incredibly talented goalkeepers.

    8Miles Robinson | United States

The third-string central defender for the USMNT, Robinson plays at the club level for FC Cincinnati. He joined the reigning MLS Supporters' Shield champions in the offseason on a one-year deal after a stint with Atlanta United.

Robinson will be an important figure if the USMNT opt to roll out a three-defender formation, or if either of Tim Ream or Chris Richards don't' find themselves in Gregg Berhalter's starting XI.

    7Josef Martinez | Venezuela

One of the greatest goalscorers MLS has ever seen, Martinez has not had the hottest season so far, but on his best day, he's a menace in front of net.

There's no assurance that he will start for Venezuela at Copa America, but he will be an impact player regardless of his role from the start of the whistle.

Martinez has 14 career goals in 66 international appearances, but is a shoe-in for one if given the opportunity in front of goal.

The Jamaican central defender plays at the club level with the Philadelphia Union and is an important part of the core of their defense. A brilliant set-piece defender, Lowe will be crucial to Jamaica's success at Copa America 2024.

The 31-year-old has 53 caps for the Reggae Boyz with three career international goals.

  • 5Pedro Gallese | Peru

Pedro "El Pulpo"Gallese is one of the most experienced goalkeepers on the international stage in this tournament, and will lead Peru out from the back this summer.

The 34-year-old has made 106 appearances for Peru, and was a significant reason they found themselves in the competition's final in 2019. He made an important penalty-kick save vs Luis Suarez and Uruguay in the quarterfinals in that run, in one of that tournament's most iconic moments.

In 2024, he'll look to perform similar heroics.

Suddenly a favorite under new head coach Jesse Marsch, Bombito looks to be a locked-in starter at central defense for the CMNT this summer. The Colorado Rapids centerback has had an outstanding start to the season, and played in both their pre-Copa America friendlies this June.

He'll be an important leader for the CMNT as they look to begin a new era under Marsch.

    3Adalberto 'Coco' Carrasquilla | Panama

One of the most exciting attackers in MLS on his best day, Carrasquilla is Panama's most-important player heading into Copa America 2024. The Houston Dynamo midfielder is tricky and really composed in tight spaces, and has a knack for goals, as well.

He'll look to lead his nation out of a group with Bolivia, Uruguay and the U.S.

  • Luis Suarez UruguayGetty

The Inter Miami star's scoring streak in MLS has earned him a call-up to Marcelo Bielsa's squad this summer, and he'll play second fiddle to Liverpool star Darwin Nunez up top.

The 37-year-old is giving it one last go on the international stage, in what is expected to be his final tournament for his country. With 12 goals and five assists for the Herons this season, he'll look to bring his stunning goal-scoring form to Uruguay this tournament.

THE player to watch this summer, the star of La Albiceleste will captain Argentina as they look to reclaim the Copa America throne once again.
