  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Goodman and Walker share two children outside of the Manchester City star's marriage with Annie Kilner, but there has been constant public drama playing out in the tabloids, while the player won a court case against the 33-year-old in June.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Goodman added to the tension with the England international as, without mentioning Walker's name, she called for new regulations that would allow the father's name to be taken off of children's birth certificates without their permission.

  • WHAT GOODMAN SAID

Speaking on the Yours Sincerely podcast, she said: "I think there should be maybe something where if the father doesn't see the child in X amount of years, then the mum can request for them to be taken off the birth certificate. I think that should be a thing because apparently when you put them on the birth certificate, they are there forever unless they consent to coming off the birth certificate and I don't agree with that.

"I think that is the problem. It's like this whole misogyny in the society we live in that a father can be put on the birth certificate and then he can't be taken off without his consent, even though he's just, say, abandoned or neglected your child. I think that for me is like if you don’t want to exercise your parental rights, cool, sign them over, or we should be able to get them off the birth certificate."
